Q: What is Kokada, and how do I use it?
A: Kokada is an organic, school-friendly snack that can be enjoyed just like your favorite nut butter or sweet spread! Kokada is made with simple ingredients and is always vegan, peanut free, and refined sugar-free.
Just like your favorite nut butter or spreads, Kokada is endlessly versatile! A few of the many ways you can enjoy Kokada is straight from the jar, on toast or waffles, in a sandwich or crepe. The options are endless!

Q: Is Kokada vegan, soy-free, dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free, peanut and tree nut free?
A: Yes, yes, and yes! Kokada is all of the above. The only known allergen in Kokada is coconut.
Q: Is Kokada made in an allergen-friendly facility?
A: Although Kokada is peanut, almond, and gluten-free, we cannot yet guarantee that our facility is completely peanut and gluten-free. As we grow, our goal is to get there as soon as possible!
Q: Is Kokada Non-GMO and/or organic?
A: Yes. All ingredients are Non-GMO, and all Kokada products are certified organic by QAI.
Q: Does Kokada contain artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives?
A: Kokada is free from artificial colors, artificial flavors, and “natural flavors.” Kokada adds <1g of carrageenan per jar to limit separation during shipping.
Q: Does Kokada contain trans-fat, hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup?
A: No, no, and no!
Q: What is the shelf life of Kokada?
A: Kokada is good for up to 10 months from the manufacturing date and before opening, and we label all our jars with the Best By date!
Once opened, we recommend enjoying it within two months. Before opening and after opening, store Kokada in a cool, dry place, like a pantry.
Q: Why is there a white coating in my Kokada jar?
A: Like natural nut butters, there may be some ingredient separation as the temperature fluctuates during the delivery process. Coconut oil is extremely sensitive to temperature. Throughout the summer, some jars may have a coconut oil layer on top. During winter, jars may have a white solid coconut oil top. Have no fear! The separation is just the natural ingredients doing their job! Just give it a quick stir to recombine ingredients.
Q. How does Kokada give back?
A. For every jar sold, we donate 2% of net sales to community projects in Sri Lanka, the community from which we source our ingredients. These select projects change based on the communities need but have included adult education, microloans for women owned businesses, support for children in schools, and basic health care support for those most in need. Q: What is coconut treacle?
A: One of our main ingredients, coconut treacle, is native to the beautiful island of Sri Lanka and created using traditional Sri Lankan methods. Coconut sap is turned into treacle by using heat to bring out that rich, thick consistency we all now know and love.
You may be wondering why we use coconut treacle versus other sweeteners. Well, besides the delicious flavor and natural manufacturing process, coconut treacle is generally considered a better-for-you substitute for sweeteners. With a lower glycemic index (GI), it does not spike your blood sugar levels and cause the dreaded sugar crash.
Q: What is carrageenan, and why is it included in Kokada?
A: Carrageenan is an extract from a red seaweed commonly known as Irish Moss. This edible seaweed is native to the UK and has been used in traditional cooking for hundreds of years. Including less than 1g of carrageenan means less stirring every time you open a jar!

Q: Can I cancel my order after placing it?
A: If your order has not yet been shipped, we can cancel your order! Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: When should I expect my order?
A: We aim to ship all online orders within 5-7 business days. Once we ship the order, unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of insight into exactly where it is at any point in time with USPS, UPS, or FedEx.
Q: What are your payment options?
A: We accept all major credit cards for subscriptions! Each order is billed right before it ships.
Q: I just remembered that I had a promotional code for my order, can it still be added?
A: Unfortunately, once an order is submitted, we can’t add promotional and/or discount codes, but as always, feel free to email us at email@example.com, and we’ll see what we can do!
Q: What is your shipping & return policy?
A: Our order processing times are within 2-7 business days after receiving your order confirmation email. Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive an order confirmation email with your tracking information!
As a food product and food company, we cannot accept returns, but if there are any problems or you are unsatisfied with the product, absolutely let us know, and we’ll do our best to fix it!
Q: Do you ship to Canada or anywhere else outside the United States?
A: At this time, we only ship within the United States. BUT, if you would like to see us at your local grocery store, contact us, and share which store, and we’ll see what we can do!

A: Easily! You can change your subscription in one of two ways. You can either access your most recent order confirmation email, select “Manage Subscription,” choose your active subscription, adjust your subscription, skip your next order, or cancel your subscription!
